For INTL, a Change of Preference is when a current student/applicant wants to change their program that they have not yet accepted/commenced/enrolled in.

<aside> 🚨 For example, when a student who is currently completing Foundation Studies but wants to change their future program in their package; or change the program for which they have been made an offer (but not yet accepted).

We can trigger a Change of Preference from our end in Studylink with a few simple steps.

  1. Find the student in Studylink, search the Student ID/App ID in the search bar
  2. Once the search returns the desired application, check the tick box on the left hand side (1), and then click ‘Application Group’ at the top of the page (2)

  1. Based on the program the student would like to change to, select one of the following options:
    1. ‘Change of Pref - BUS’
    2. ‘Change of Pref - DSC’
    3. ‘Change of Pref - SEH’

  1. Leave a note in the ‘Notes’ section in Studylink, explicitly detailing the program (and program code). For example if they are wanting to change to the Diploma of Nursing at the Bundoora Campus, leave the following note:

    “Applicant contacted Study@RMIT, would like a Change of Preference to Diploma of Nursing C5417BU Program”
